HOW TO FEST
The 2017 Sun Valley Film Festival promises to be an incredible weekend you won’t soon forget. Here are some tips to make sure you’re getting the most out of our films, panels and parties.
TIMING IS EVERYTHING
It’s important to arrive early if you want to secure your seat at a film or panel. You must arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of any film, panel or party to allow for orderly access to each venue.
Note: The order of entrance is as follows: Festival Passholders, Film Passholders, Party Passholders and then individual ticket holders.
TICKET AND PASS PICKUP
Online ticket purchases can be picked up at the SVFF Box Office starting March 13th. SVFF Box Office is located at the Warfield Tasting room at 240 N. Main. Limited individual tickets will be released 5 minutes prior to showings for (cash only) purchase at the door if a film is not already sold out.
In the event of unanticipated schedule changes, the SVFF App is the definitive source for Festival updates. Available free in the app store for Iphone and Android, you can use it to track changes, get updated film information, check maps and find answers to other questions you may have. Alternatively, you can stop by HQ to talk to one of our knowledgeable volunteers.
WHAT TO SEE
Check out the ‘Films’ tab on our website to find synopses, filmmaker information, and for most films, a trailer. Also, feel free to visit us at HQ and speak with us about trending films.
Climate, altitude, and lunchtime schooners at Grumpy's...need we say more? Staying warm and hydrated is key! It may seem obvious, but in this dry climate it’s important to drink more water than usual.
And remember- we can promise a great time, but not great weather. Make sure to dress appropriately for the brief wait outside the venue: it’s all about layering!
SOLD OUT? DON'T DISPAIR
A capped number of individual tickets are sold for each film. Any seats remaining empty 5 minutes prior to start time will be sold at the theater for the individual ticket price of $10 (cash only). If you do not have a ticket, the earlier you arrive at the theater, the better your chance of getting a seat. Additionally, sold out and popular films will get the chance for an encore screening. These films will be determined and announced during the festival and on our website to be showcased on Sunday afternoon/evening.
