Screenwriters Lab High Scribe Competition

The Sun Valley Film Festival welcomes the Academy Award ® nominated writers of Dallas Buyers Club, Melisa Wallack and Craig Borten, to host the second annual Sun Valley Screenwriters Lab. Participants will hear Wallack and Borten speak candidly about their careers, the making of their film, and field questions about the trade. The Lab’s screenplay competition, The High Scribe, returns with Jim Burke, Oscar nominated producer of The Descendants, as this year’s judge. The winner will have their script’s title and log line listed with on-line script sharing site, InkTip . The competition’s three finalists will be awarded lodging and passes to the film festival and have the unique opportunity for a one-on-one discussion of their script with Academy Award ® winning writer of The King’s Speech, David Seidler.
